Vandana is a Lawyer by profession and philanthropist by heart. She has been associated with government schemes for the oppressed classes in the past. Of several such programs, worth mentioning were ‘Nav Disha’ (meaning ‘a new direction’), a program for reintegrating persons, belonging to Rajbanshi Community in North Bengal, India back to the mainstream. These persons, being disillusioned by the governance, had taken up arms and started militancy in North Bengal, India demanding a separate State. She was also associated with NGOs which used to teach the poor and homeless children staying in New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in North Bengal and Howrah Station in Bengal, India.

In Dubai she has been associated with helping Indian Expats by giving free legal advice. She has accompanied Consulate Officials in Labour Camps and to extend all help possible. She volunteers for Indian Workers Resource Centre, Dubai.

Vandana has done Masters in Human Resource and then shifted to making a career in Law. She did LLB and LLM and is a practicing lawyer in India. Currently she is pursuing PhD in International Law.

She has been associated with the Karna Subarna Welfare Society Team since its inception.
